Brain development in the first years of life is the most dynamic and perhaps the most important phase of postnatal brain development. In this study, we are utilizing Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) to document brain development from birth to middle childhood to understand how the brain grows and matures. This study involves MRI scanning and cognitive testing to identify how trajectories of brain development predict behavior in children between 7 and 9 years of age.
